Laboratory Technician (Microbiology)
Job description
- Ensures in managing specimens following lab standard
- Ensures that reports are accurate and timely
- Completes incident reports as required
- Assists other laboratory staff when own work is completed
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all referral lab result
- Isolate and make cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms in prescribed media, controlling moisture, aeration, temperature, and nutrition.
- Examine physiological, morphological, and cultural characteristics, using microscope, to identify and classify microorganisms in human, water, and food specimens
- Provide POCT training as needed to nurse;
- Investigate the relationship between organisms and disease, including the control of epidemics and the effects of antibiotics on microorganisms;
- Do troubleshooting with POCT issue;

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree/Associate degree/ High diploma in health science, Lab Technician, Pharmacy related field
- Experience in sales 2 or 3 years is advance.
- Maintains safe-working practices at all times.
- Be able to rotates through weekend and evening shifts as required
- Represent lab on committees and at meetings as required
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
